What awaits
Legend. A legend recorded by Charles M. Skinner in 1896 holds that Rock Hill in Medford, Massachusetts is haunted by a figure remembered as Kidd. The story is usually told with treasure said to be buried and guarded. In the version that reached print, it grew out of a killing that was never answered for. The Haunted Guide carries it as nineteenth-century folklore from Myths and Legends of Our Own Land, not as established fact.
