Bugtown is a former settlement or camp in Custer County, South Dakota, recorded by the USGS Geographic Names Information System.
What awaits
Early mining camp so named because the logs of which the miners’ cabins were built were heavily infested with bugs. The community became deserted in the 1880s. (SD-T25/p51)
